Bachelor MHR FERRANDi Paris

As part of their Bachelor in F&B and Hospitality Management, students at FERRANDI Paris had the privilege of welcoming Lola Harel, Director of Operations at Café Lomi, on March 3. The session offered an inspiring insight into the world of specialty coffee and careers in hospitality.

After earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at Université Paris-Dauphine, Lola Harel began her career at BAPBAP, a craft beer company. There, she discovered the value of showcasing high-quality products and telling their stories—a lesson that would shape her approach to specialty coffee.

She later joined Café Lomi, a renowned name in specialty coffee, as Director of Operations. In this cross-functional role, she oversees teams, coordinates operations, and ensures that every cup reflects the brand’s commitment to excellence, quality, and authenticity.

During the session, students engaged with Lola about her career journey, her day-to-day responsibilities, and her vision for coffee—from bean selection to roasting. It was a unique opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes of specialty coffee and to appreciate the passion, expertise, and dedication required to deliver a product of exceptional quality.

Students also learned more about Café Lomi and its dedication to sustainable and responsible specialty coffee practices.

A heartfelt thank you to Lola Harel for sharing her experience and inspiring our students.
